Why isn’t the comic still called Scary Go Round?
I get asked this all the time. Why isn’t Giant Days called Scary Go Round? Why isn’t Bad Machinery called Scary Go Round? It’s on the same URL. There are characters in common.
The answer is really easy. It’s the same reason that a bank robber changes his name when he runs away to Brazil. So people won’t keep asking him questions about what he did back when he robbed banks. It’s a line in the sand. Also, I robbed a load of banks.
It’s still on the same URL because I don’t believe you should ever give people a jumping-off point. Disappearing from their bookmarks is a pretty easy way to lose a load of lazy dudes.
Getting Bad Machinery Volume 1 outside N. America
I’ve had a number of messages from people struggling to get the Bad Machinery book outside the USA, particularly in the UK and Australia. Here’s what to do:
1. If you have a local comic shop, they can order it for you if it’s not in stock. Just ask! It’s in the system.
2. In the UK? Amazon.co.uk has it. If you use this link, I get a little bit of extra cash that way. Hate Amazon’s tax-dodging ways? Use Foyles.
3. In Australia? Kings Comics has it. I’m afraid you can only get the hardcover direct from Topatoco or direct from Oni Press.

Work has begun on Bad Machinery book 2 (book 1 is out mid-March). Not many fixes like the one above on this one, but 20 new pages of story are on the board and ready to draw!
